Furniture Frames
All furniture frames are constructed from hardwoods such as maple or bass. All joints are glued and screwed together to prevent wobbling or creaking. Our frames are completely padded over the back, side and arms to reduce wear and tear on fabric. We boast a 25 year guarantee on all of our frames. Our fully upholstered pieces include a web and coil or S-spring insert:
S-springs—S-springs are strips of S shaped tempered wire that stretch from the front to the back of the frame.
Web & Coil Construction—This construction provides outstanding comfort and support because it moves up and down with your body weight.
Cushion Insert Options
BRONZE: foam with a dacron wrapped insert—This insert comes standard on our base models. The guarantee on this insert is five years.
SILVER: 60/40 fowl/feather cushion insert—This insert is made from 60% feather and 40% down. This insert requires fluffing to keep them looking plump and comfy.
GOLD: envelope cushion inserts—This insert is made with a centre, foam wrapped dacron cushion enveloped in a layer of 60% feather and 40%down. This insert gives you the best of both worlds: the stability of foam with the softness of down.
Customize
The available custom option features don’t stop there! bbs also offers:
- Contrast piping or upholstery tacks (to accentuate the lines of your frame)
- Arm caps (to protect and extend the life of the arms on your sofa or chair)
- Scotch guarding (because spills do happen)
- Show wood and leg stains
